I have a patient that was diagnosed with MS 15 years ago. She has recently relapsed and is now struggling with foot drop. Is the Stimpod safe to use on MS patients?

I would always use the Stimpod on MS or any similar disorder as it will strengthen those muscles (through nerve stimulation) that have become weakened through disuse and will improve gait and arm/hand strength. The foot drop will certainly respond if you treat the peroneal or common tibial nerve.

I cannot provide research on MS, but one of my patients who had a Ca brain tumour in the area of the left hemisphere for the upper limb has responded incredibly well with a reduction of numbness and increasing strength. This lead to Donovan Shultz, a clinical neurophysiologist, who demonstrated nerve growth from Stimpod treatments.

The Stimpod works great for patients with MS and secondary conditions like trigeminal neuralgia and foot drop.
